We are the allotment society for Woodseats Allotments, Beauchief Allotments and home gardeners from the surrounding areas.
Our purpose is to develop a thriving, attractive and multifunctional allotment site that benefits our members, wildlife and the local community.
We are members of the National Allotment Society and support the Sheffield Allotments Federation.
The Society is composed of Full Members and Home Gardeners. Full Members are those who have an allotment or are “co-workers” with someone who leases an allotment at Woodseats or Beauchief.
Home Gardeners do not have an allotment.
The Society also welcomes “Friends of Woodseats Allotments” - anyone who would like to support our site and the activities of the Society.
The allotment site is owned and managed by Sheffield City Council. The waiting list for allotments, leases, tenant issues and maintenance of site infrastructure (e.g. water) is managed by the Council. The Society seeks to maintain a good relationship with the Council for the benefit of our site, our Members and the allotment service
across the city.
